Our Story
How did it all start? A friend of mine wanted to purchase a house in Accra through an agent who listed it online. When he called the agent told him to call back in an hour. When he called again the agent told him the listing wasn’t actually his, it was another agent’s property in her network. Desperate for accommodation, he asked for that agent’s phone contact. Upon phone conversation, he found out that that agent also has no connection with the owner of the property and that the third agent does. This continued agent after agent. This is a frustrating, daisy chain common practice in Ghana, especially in Accra. There are people like my friend who face this issue every day. I thought, there must be a better way. That is how Villasharks platform was developed.
